2014 Early Autumn On Santa Rosa Mountain

Within the span of one week I made two excursions to Santa Rosa Mountain in late August and early September in 2014. I’ve described this place several times in past posts, so I’ll forgo any lengthy descriptions here. Birds I met during my August 28th and 29th overnight trip were Anna’s Hummingbird, Band-Tailed Pigeon, Black-Throated Gray Warbler, Brown Creeper, Pacific-Slope Flycatcher, Dusky Flycatcher, Hermit Warbler, MacGillivray’s Warbler, Mountain Chickadee, Nashville Warbler, Orange-Crowned Warbler, Western Tanager, Western Bluebird, Black-Headed Grosbeak, Pygmy Nuthatch, Red-Breasted Nuthatch, Townsend’s Warbler, Wilson’s Warbler, White-Headed Woodpecker.

September 5th birds were Acorn Woodpecker, American Kestrel, White-Breasted Nuthatch, Dark-Eyed Junco, Pygmy Nuthatch, Mountain Chickadee.
