2015-11-14 Miramar Bonaparte’s Gulls

Bonaparte's Gull - Larus philadelphia I visited this location Friday evening to meet a friend for a sandwich. We sat near the boat dock and I noticed a small gull in flight over the boat dock. A closer investigation revealed three Bonaparte’s Gulls among the other gulls and mud hens. The light was too poor to take pictures at that time, so I returned in the morning but found these gulls missing at that time. Another check later in the afternoon found the gulls back and I was able to get a few pictures before they flew off.
