Singing Summer Tanager

I spent from 2017-04-22 through 2017-05-04 touring some great bird locations in Arizona. The places I was able to visit during this time were Agua Caliente Park, Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemmon, Florida Canyon, Madera Canyon and  two places in Arivaca (Day 1 and Day 2). I do not feel I got everything I could from any of these places, but I got enough to make me very happy.

New birds I met on this trip were Hepatic Tanager, Black-Capped Gnatcatcher, Gray Hawk, Olive Warbler, Red-Faced Warbler, Grace’s Warbler and Brown-Crested Flycatcher. The links will bring up the gallery pages for these species. I also gathered images that expanded the scope of offerings in my Bird Gallery for 19 more species: Summer Tanager, Bell’s Vireo, Vermillion Flycatcher, Lucy’s Warbler, Abert’s Towhee, Curve-Billed Thrasher, Gila Woodpecker, Brewer’s Sparrow, Greater Roadrunner, Pyrrhuloxia, Ash-Throated Flycatcher, Hermit Thrush, Painted Redstart, White-Winged Dove, Bridled Titmouse, Broad-Billed Hummingbird, Yellow Warbler, and Calliope Hummingbird. I’ll leave it up to the reader to find these in the Bird Gallery if interested.

On display below are 58 of some of my favorite bird moments caught on camera. I hope you will enjoy them. (PS: the “Rufous-Crowned Sparrow images are mislabeled. They are in fact “Rufous-Winged Sparrows”.)
