One benefit of taking a lengthy journey, such as my 2020 Texas Expedition, is collecting images of new bird species for my species galleries. If I’ve met the bird before, I can add the new images and show a new region to display on the integrated gallery maps showing where I’ve met all the subjects in the collection, or gallery. The “Birds I Have Known” album, for those who may not know, organizes the galleries by species. I’ve started filling in those galleries with images from the recent trip to Texas. Some of the bird images are new species in the collection, and I’ve added new galleries to the albums for their display.
I collected images of 155 species on the 2020 trip including birds from Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. I feel that is too many to share in a single post, so I’ve resolved to share them in sets. This is the first in the series. Rather than attempting an album of galleries, I’ll be sharing links to the new, or updated galleries. I’m working from an alphabetical list, so my first set is of all the birds starting with “A”.
