Thrushes

Thrushes are small birds that mostly feed on the ground. The classic ‘thrush pose’ is a fairly erect stance with head up and bill raised high. Some of these birds have the most beautiful, flute-like, haunting songs I’ve ever heard. The species displayed in these galleries are American Dipper, American Robin, Clay-Colored Thrush, Eastern Bluebird, Hermit Thrush, Mountain Bluebird, Swainson’s Thrush, Townsend’s Solitaire, Varied Thrush, Veery, Western Bluebird, and Wood Thrush.
