I’ve been busy cataloging images from my Texas expedition and updating the bird galleries on the Birds I Have Known pages. It was a lot of work but I’ve just finished. There are 153 updated species galleries, and 43 of them are new. The trip for me was rewarding on so many levels, and trying to gauge the value by the quantity of birds I met is not my intention. Rather it’s a gauge of the amount of work I had to put in to complete my process.
Most of the images were gathered in Texas, but some are from the states I crossed to get there, California, Arizona and New Mexico.
The following list accounts for the additions and updates to the bird gallery pages. Those marked with an asterisk (*) are new to the collection. During this update process I’ve expanded the descriptive text to include better range descriptions and various miscellania. I’ve been sharing on my Facebook Page a gallery a day recently, but these galleries are always available for review on my website. Either use the link for Birds I Have Known, or use the menu near the top of all pages listed as “Galleries” and hover your mouse over the lists that drop down and click on something that interests you. Another option would be to use the site’s search feature. To the far right of the menu bar on every page is a magnifying glass icon. Click on it and type into the form the subject you want to find, such as Tricolored Blackbird. Then select from the displayed list of results.
